We went about 1pm on the Tuesday after Mardi Gras. It wasn’t busy but a line formed as we waited to order. Three of us ordered: 1 Collard sandwich, 3 tacos inauthenticos, 1 ham sandwich, 1 fried pot pie, and a deliciously zingy cabbage salad. I recommend all of the things. Personal favorite being the pot pie - maybe because of the tarragon ranch. Our food came out pretty fast (as did that of the folks around us) and we swallowed it all down with some sweet tea. We went in with hangovers and left as renewed humans - and took home half the collard sandwich and a bunch of the salad! Then we had to fulfill the sweet tooth with some vanilla ice cream which had tahini on it. I suspected but AMAZING. Delicious. Bravo.
